Washington’s Reagan Airport Will Ground Flights for July 4 Events

The runways at Ronald Reagan National Airport will be closed after noon on July 4, and for several hours on July 3. Other celebrations surrounding the nation’s 250th birthday are also expected to cause disruptions.Flyovers, parachutists and fireworks over Washington will temporarily force Ronald Reagan National Airport to occasionally ground flights between late June and late August.
