Kathryn Garcia Is Named New Head of the Port Authority

Ms. Garcia, who ran for mayor of New York in 2021 after serving as the city’s sanitation commissioner, would succeed Rick Cotton, who is retiring.Kathryn Gardia said she expected to start in the new role early next year.
